Tow Vehicle

Tony McLaughlin is the general manager at McKenzie Caravans and explained that with an ATM of less than 2500kg, the X-Factor can be towed by most mid-sized vehicles in both the 2WD and 4WD market. He also advised 15-inch wheels are available to suit larger 4WDs.

On The Outside

The X-Factor looks ballsy with its powder-coated chequer-plate front and sides, tinted acrylic windows and flash decals. It's a smart look.

Other features around the body include full LED lighting, a colour-coded fibreglass tail-light assembly, rear bumper and spare, an awning and wheel spats to name just a few. Located on the back wall is a small hatch which is a service access for the washing machine. It's a nice touch.

Mechanically, the X-Factor runs 14-inch alloys, electric brakes and a tandem load-sharing suspension system. Up on the A-frame is a mesh section for storing wet gear.

Day into Night

It might sound a tad funny but I felt the inside of this X-Factor was sort of warm and sexy, with the leather seating, dark timbers and groovy ply used, but sensuous might be a better adjective. (Nope, it's just getting worse - ed)

From the full ensuite with washing machine to the kitchen area and the main bedroom, this caravan has class written all over it.

There are neat little touches such as the wine rack in the cupboard under the tri-fold table at the club-style dinette, porcelain bowls in the ensuite and it simply has loads of storage space. It's all there.

There are curved bulkheads above the main cabinets in the dining room and kitchen with down lights.
