
A common design trait amongst European caravans is the convertible lounge-cum-main bed. This is because A: they all live in shoeboxes and B: space efficiency is everything! Geist has Australianised its floorplans to a degree, but having a day lounge up front that converts into the main bed at night is still a common theme. Standard equipment is comprehensive while a big selling point is the relatively light tare and ball weights, which reduces fuel consumption and tow vehicle wear-and-tear.

There are three models in Geist's Aktiv range that provide bunk beds and unusually, each has a bathroom. Interestingly, the model AK495 offers a 'speerate childrens bedroom' (sic), according to their website, which must be some sort of traditional German kinder retreat ...
